Asia-Pacific Association of Derivatives (APAD) is an academic organization to serve scholars, students, managers, and consultants who are interested in advancing knowledge about derivatives markets and their products around Asia-Pacific region. The primary goal of the association is to promote scholarly studies in the derivatives context.

An inaugural conference was held on July 15-16, 2004 in Busan, Korea attended by about 200 professors and doctoral students from around the world.

The 2nd conference was held on July 28-30,2005, in Bangalore, India by KAFO and the Indian Institute of Management under the auspices of several Indian financial institutions.

The 3rd conference was held on June 22-23,2006 in Busan, Korea under the auspices of KRX.

The 4th conference was held on June 20-22,2007 in Gurgaon, India by KAFO and the Management Development Institute (MDI), under the auspices of several Indian financial institutions.

The 5th conference was held on June 26-27, 2008 in Busan Korea under the sponsorship of KRX.

The 6th conference was held on August 26-27, 2010 in Busan Korea under the sponsorship of KRX, KOFIA, KSD, BS bank and KB.

The 7th conference was held on August 25-26, 2011 in Busan Korea under the sponsorship of KRX, KOFIA, KSD, Daewoo Securities and Hana Daetoo Securities.

The 8th conference was held on August 23-24, 2012 in Busan Korea under the sponsorship of KRX, KOFIA, KSD, KCMI, Hana Daetoo Securities and Hyundai Securities.

The 9th conference was held on August 22-23, 2013 in Busan Korea under the sponsorship of KRX, KIF, KOFIA, KSD, KCMI, KB Financial Group. Hana Daetoo Securities.

The 10th conference was held on August 21-22. 2014 in Busan Korea under the sponsorship of KRX, KOFIA, KSD, NPS, KB Financial Group, Samsung Asset Management, Mirae Asset, Korea Investment, Hana Daetoo Securities, Samsung Securities.
